Hello, we haven't corresponded before, but I read something you posted at the Greatest RPG Fan's Forum, and I had a question for you...
You mentioned having a 'debug slider' in the sound controls for DirectX 8, which I can't find on mine... any clues you might be able to give me?
I'm running Win98 with DirectX 8.

glad to help. if you can't find it in your Control Panel, you don't have the applet.
Go here to download the MS Control Panel Applet.

then extract it to your \windows\system

now when you go to your Control Panel, you will see the Direct X icon. and that should set you up.

remember to use "dxdiag" also. run that command from your start button and it can help point out problems, such as missing dlls.
