Hi Everyone,

Well, yes its a short demo but loads of fun.

Just for kicks (especially for Evenstar as a Ninja) I've been levelling up my characters. I have them up to level 9, and have been taking on some big nasties that come out occasionally.

So far, I've found that Emerald Smiles (huge, about 140-180 HP) can leave you good things. Also about 30,000 exp each! I had one leave me a Claymore that in Sslar's hands is a pretty nasty weapon. Puts his base damage up to near 30.

And I just recently found some Metallic Smiles (nicely borrowed from Dragon Warrior, but we wont tell Enix that. By the way, why is it that nearly every RPG I've played as slimes as the default weak baddie?).

After killing them, I found a Sollerette (+10 AC for the feet). I know from previous Wizardries that this is a high level item, so I was surprised to see it in the demo?!?

On that note, having Flicker's level 7 Fireball helps take these foes out.

Anyone make any cool class changes? Some characters can't I know, but I've changed Iona from Bard - Gagdeteer to Samurai. Can't use the Mk II Omnigun anymore (no big loss), but can still use the Pipes of Pain.

I'm hoping to find a few more rare items and try for level 10, but saving most of the real playing for the full version.

Saz - I'm hooked, no questions asked.

Take care

Wow! Sounds like you are cashing in!
I fought three metallic slimes yesterday and got diddly for it except for the EP's.
Taking notes here; "can still use bard weapons even though I changed classes" ;) I went with a rogue since I haven't figured out how to use the omnigun LOL. I euqipped it but think I need ammo?! (Shhh!) :D I am trying to steal Burz's musket just to play with. So far, I need to up my skills.

Can I ask how have you managed to hit level 9?
I need to pay attention to monster frequency and toughness options don't I? (doh!)

I am hooked too.
I feel like I have found a long lost friend who has only gotten better with time!

I did set my monster level up to "Expert" and got two bacsinets and a bastard sword from the Trynnie Spirits.
I encountered some "Stalker Seekers" too...some orange and black marbled big lizard thingies but had to drop the game for RL! AGH! I did not encounter them again in the reload and haven't seen 'em since.
Did you start with your monster level set to Expert? I can't seem to get any more than one encounter more than the ones that are set with the game.
Do you go out and then come back in? (That's how I get the metallic slimes I think)
Do Tell! I won't have much time to fiddle with the game this week having to concentrate on school M-F, but would like to discover the best tips for the best stuufffffff. :D
