Ok...so I played the first Wizardry WAY back when, but never got the chance to play any of the other games following. Is there any way to get any of these games now, outside of hoping and praying I can find them at some used software store? I have looked and looked and looked, and have had no luck whatsoever. I still have the first Wizardry, but it's on a 5" floppy (they were 5", right? http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif )...not exactly something I can just pop into my new computer, eh?

Well, every new computer I build always gets the old 5 1/4" floppy drive installed. Just in case I want to load up an old game in that format.
I just remembered that I played "Bane Of The Cosmic Forge" off 5 1/4" disks, because the computer had no harddrive, only 2 floppies. I ran my video through my VCR to my TV because the computer I had didn't come with a monitor and I couldn't afford one either. Instead of taking notes in the game I'd tape the info I needed on video cassette. Ah, the good (bad?) old days! Mark |
Cyberpixie: Interplay has the "Wizardry Archives": all 7 Wizardries plus Wizardry Gold (which, IMO, isn't worth it, but the other 7 are.) You can find it at the following link:

Also, you might want to check local used software stores for "The Ultimate Wizardry Archives". We bought it new a year ago...some retailers may even still have it.

Check the online auctions as well.

CyberPixie - Did you ever find a copy???

I did...but I haven't bought it yet because I'm running a solo character through W&W at the moment, and I bought a couple of other games just before I originally made this post (Summoner and BG). I figured I should try to get through those before I go spend more money on games http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I played "Castle Wolfenstein" on the old floppy. I did get out of the castle to. Classic stick Type figures, ran it on an old Apple. Conan
