Thanks to Uatu, we have a new bug. Well, he didn't cause it, just pointed me in the right direction to figuring out what it was.
If a creature has immunity to 'death magic' checked, they cannot go below 1 hp, and can never be killed. Even choosing the 'Win' option in testing mode does not kill them, though it does end the combat and say that neither side had won. |

It was the first time I had seen it, and I think that it can only happen in testing mode, but I'm not 100% on that.

I dunno where the official bug list is, but this should be changed into a feature (albeit not the immunity to death magic feature). I think you should have the possibile feature of unbeatable foes, I think you should have the feature of ending a combat with no winner, and I believe you should have the feature of setting up a script that prematurely ends combat, without one side dying off/fleeing, or being able to press the "win" button. Naturally, if combat ends without your team being destroyed, then it doesn't automatically end the game...

There are a lot of games where the combat will end when the boss takes x amount of damage or only has y% of hp left.
I would be happy with the immunities that FRUA had being up and running. :D There is the 'party cannot die' box that can be checked, all we need is a monsters cannont die box and box to have combat end when a condition has been met. BTW, all the official lists are at Sourceforge.net. |
Mmm, I always test by running the executable, and the "undieable" bug happens then as well. (All non-undead die normally, leaving just the undead left; after a few more actions, the battle finally ends, with the "nobody wins" message.)
