If you have windows Xp just go to regional settings and add east language support. The switch unicode to japanese. If you don't there is on other way. Now the dll problem. That stumps me, because I just tested the program. Go into the directory and run game.exe, that may do it.

I'm running under windows 98. :D Maybe the .dll is standard in XP but not 98? Anyways, downloading it and putting it in the directory takes care of the problem.
But, I still can't get it to run... :( (I tried on our laptop which has XP...wouldn't get past the first two splash pages either.)

Send me a screenshot of the error. This is extremely odd. I downloaded the same file which Iput on and installed it, and it runs perfect. Did you download the first version of the game? You need to have the legend of erthia demo 1.0 before the patch will work. The total folder size should be around 180 or so megs.
