Yep, the deadline came and went....

I will be the 1st to say how the original dates were a bit agressive, but the goal was to try to get something into the next release of DC that the 'Spud was planning for this month. To date I have received 2 submissions...2 great submissions, but alas hardly enough for a contest..

So as long as everyone is still interested, what say we extend the date out a little bit? Maybe to December 10th? Would that give some other folks enough time to submit something? Or should we just call it a wash?

If it is mutually decided that we should extend the deadline, I'll have the web page updated with the new date and a couple of samples from our first 2 submitters just to let the rest of you know what kind of competition you are up against. ;)

Let me know what you all think.

I think the extension is a good idea. I also think that this contest should be advertised over on the FRUA list.
If you're down with this, let me know and I'll post over there.
There are a lot of talented artists working in FRUA and maybe this is what they'll need to give 'em a push to try out DC.

Whatever medium you feel most comfortable with is acceptable, as long as it meets the format requirments that DC uses for it's icons, it is all good. [img]smile.gif[/img]

That looks pretty good, and is exactly the kind of things we are looking for! Looks like all that one needs is a ready or attack pose, and it would be ready for a submission!

As far as the submissions go, just follow the guidelines on the web-page as to what to include in the submission package and I can formally enter you in the contest.

I am looking forward to your submission(s)! (as I am sure the DC community is as well!!) :D
