Has anyone gotten this application to work properly? On my system, it renders only the frontal views of the texture, not the 45°-degree shots. Am I to stupid or is there something wrong with this application?
Thanks, Joerg P.S. This #!%&$$# programm delays all my new stuff for Dungeoncraft, but I will post some of it soon. |
I feel your pain dude. I have the exact same problem on my system at home. I think a lot of the problem has to do with either the video card, the video drivers, or both. I have a Vodoo3 on my system at home, and I have the problem you do. But for some reason, my kids's computer, which uses an older ATI Rage Pro AGP /w 4 megs of Video works fine. Go figure. If you have access to a different computer, try it there. Also, I beleive I read somewhere that the EasyTex program uses OpenGL(?) so you might try finding the latest OpenGL stuff for your card too.
Hope that helps. |
i don't have any problem with it working, but i have an ATI rage pro w/ 4mb.
(who would have thought that having an outdated video card would actually be an advantage?) quite frankly though, i was so unhappy with the way the 45 degree walls turned out at 1024x768 that i don't use it anymore. i've been doing it all in paint shop. it takes a lot more time, but the results are much higher quality. Oh well, I thought I could reduce the amount of work here. My graphics-card is a special Open-GL-card - maybe the programm doesn't get along with it... to bad... I'll keep doing my stuff the old fashioned, slow way in Photoshop.
Thanks, Joerg |
I had problems with it, too. The program froze my machine, so I stopped using it. Now, I believe that has more to do with my machine not being set up properly than any defect in the program (most of my apps seem to have problems, and I scanned the computer SEVERAL times over for viri and other such, so my conclusion is one of two things: either not set up right from the get go, or someone from another computer is making my life difficult. I learned that it is not hard to hack win 98, so I've been seriously considering going retro to 95 again where I had no problems other than maybe having to get win 95 patches for drivers or something like that).
just me throwing out my $0.02 SilentThief |
