I figured out that if I create an NPC character, then I can control pre made characters, but if I just make a character on the spot, then the computer is in auto combat. so I guess my game will have to just be pre genenerated characters.
Oh well, if anyone else experiences the "cant get it out of combat mode" bug then jsut make NPC's and play those.

I can't say anything about that bug to you except this: sooner or later CocoaSpud (the most-honored game creator) will read up the current posts and will discuss how to fix the problem. I have noticed that he has been silent lately, so I'm assuming he's taking a (well earned (considering how much he's done already)) break from the game or else he's hard at work on the next release. Either way, he will respond.
