Q1: Forgive me for sounding like a ditz, but how can I sort spells into casting by rounds instead of turns? My PC's keep getting whacked, no matter how I change the spell formula!

Q2: This engine is based off the 20-sided die in AD&D games, right? (Can't remember, very loooong time!) and, does it use 2nd editon rules?

When editing the spell, you can adjust how much time is needed before the spell activates by changing 'Casting Time'. You can enter a number, and you can change the units to Rounds, Turns, Initiative, or Immediate. If Immediate is used then the spell is activated immediately without delay.

DC uses AD&D 2nd Ed rules, and most dice rolls use a D20.
