I have completed the quest to get the cloak, and the tower, and I have killed the demon at the bottom of the cult house (only losing one party member, replaced Jaheira with Branwen). I picked the pocket of the captain in the Counting House, and returned with the Sea Charts, but the stupid guy just stands there saying "Please hurry friend, the merchants are preparing their ships." or something like that. He won't take the charts and let me continue to the island! Any suggestions?

Try getting the charts from the guy the real way instead of lifting them off him. I know, sounds riduculas but its an idea. You gotta get him a mug of ale from some fat bald guy in some tavern and it will set you back 900 gold to pay for his tab, but you get exp for 'obtaining' the sea charts.

Exodus: This could be a bug in an early version, I'm playing v1.3.5512 (TOTSC) and the cap'n gets pick-pocketed on a regular basis...
