HELM02 - Helm of Opposite Alignment

Does anyone know where you can get it?

JrKASperov 09-14-2006 08:19 AM

You have to kill the demon of Durlag's Tower the first time he appears. Good luck!

ah thanks alot

edit: i suppose the reason im doing this is becasue someone gave me a good hint to keep viconia in the party .. change her alignment.

but from memory i think that changing alignments won't change how NPCs behave as their reactions are scripted individually

Well I always changed Viconia to good with the helm, and she never left, but I don't remember if I was keeping my reputation maxed or not.

Harkoliar 09-14-2006 10:01 AM

hmmm.. this may indeed become a problem, ill test it out to see if viconia will leave me being a goody two shoes with that helm.

thanks.

edit: ill clua it in, i searched the forum , and it seems to be extremly hard to get, gee.. any tips in defeating that demon legally? else Ill just imagine I picked that helm off someone :D .

It's possible to beat him without cheating, though not really without cheesing.

If you have Tutu, one method is to litter a bunch of Traps all over the floor. If you're playing standard BG1, however, you'll have to be a bit more creative.

it just doesnt make sense though..

technically demons are bad, and this guy in durlags tower is technically bad. so with him wearing the bloody helmet, he should be technically good.

im confused...

also, he should have been wearing it when you finally defeat him in the lower levels.
just commenting there.

Eh, I think it's more of a trick on Bioware's part.

*demon appears*

Whoa! Time to die! Wrarg!

*phew*. That was one hell of a battle. But what is thi- Whoa! Blue-tinted item! It must be magical!

*puts on helm*
