I want to play a game with a Half-Orc, but don't want to use any big mods.

Will I get the same thing accomplished if I start the game by rolling a Half-Elf Fighter/Thief, and switch the stats, sprite and race with GK?

I don't see why not.

To make it easier, why not just start with a half orc then switch stats?

Bacause Baldur's Gate 1 does not have half-orc as a player race.

There's no half-Orc in BG1.

when you say 'sprite' do you mean the amimated character that walks around? if so which sprite were you thinking of using - one of the disappointment of BG2 is that the half-orcs look exactly the same as humans
