Hello all.

It's been a few years since playing such a great game. I thought I would give it an try. And just to add some fun try Shadow of Am as well. Last time it took me Seven months of on and off play to complete the BG and TotSC. I am curious to see how this time goes and adding a new adventure of BGII as well.
I would love to unlock a few more secrets this go around as well. Have a great day and luck gaming through this my fellow adventurers!

Regards,
Cavalier

Make sure you walk all the way through every map, no black spots ....go everywhere do everything...and if you can do it with a party of 2-4 you will have alot of fun with all your power

i'm doing the same going thru the entire saga: bg/tosc thru bg2/tob. :D fun fun!!

I started to...but had an I-think-I-have-a-better-idea-for-another-party panic attack and started another game with my fresh new...Thief->Illusionist. Level cap is 451,000 so my final results will be:

Ajantis 9
Minsc 9
Branwen 10
Kivan 9
PC
Thief 8 (locks) / Illusionist 11
Imoen
Thief 8 (traps) / Enchanter 11

I decided to put the thief in my PC instead of zooming to go get Coran -- this allows me to gather everyone up and start gaming without any insane jumping around. I only lack pickpocketing and a super-archer team [although my PC is going to take advantage of that light crossbow "bug" in BG1 to give me an extra point of damage per shot using the Light Crossbow of Speed -- although collecting bolts will be a bit of a pain.]

Cavalier: I'd recommend the Dudleyfix and bumping the level cap to 451,000. This allows for a nice long adventure without grumbling about hitting the cap. The biggest reason is to get those 5th level cleric spells (Dudleyfix takes the "druid" out of your cleric though - fair enough.)

OK, after 2 months of off/on game play I have finaly beat this thing again. However there are a few questions I have in regards to export of characters in the end. Are you able to use the in BG2 Shadow of Amm?

I have only recently completed BG and am now a few days into BG2 and the only character that was imported was my main guy, which was a bit of a pain as I had gone to great lengths to get all xp available as my TotSC was not going to play on easy TuTU.

Cavalier, you are indeed able to import your BG I characters in BG II. Just put your most recent save, after beating BG I, into your BG II saves folder.

Then click "import", "From save" and bingo, you're continuing the saga ;)
