Okay I must be stupid, because I still cannt find him, please help, what map, where, I have looked where I was told.

Well, to find Brage... Im not sure, but try this:

Go to the Gnoll stronghold, then exit from the northern exit of the map, and go north. From the new map you reach, go east and exit, and he should be in the next map i think. Im not sure.

Go north of Nashkell one map and west (all the way to the coast) two maps. You will find Brage in the same map as the archeology dig. you may want to try "bens baldurs gate" site for tips. It's helped me out a couple of times.
