Do any of these have a use?

Belladonna Flowers - I thought you gave them to the lass in the village of the werewolves, but she gave them you right back? Any use?

Hair Of The Nypmh - Found in Durlags, Top level. Does it have any use?

Dreedels Recipe Book - Any use?

Baldurans Butter Knife - Any use? (except to sell for 500GP?

Baldurans Log Book - Any use? (except to sell for 5000GP?

The Idol - Found in the tomb of the extinct race, that summons the battle horor...any use?

I know that Larry, Darryl & Darryl's autograph HAS no use...or am I wrong?

And the other common misconception for reading this, is the Golden Pantaloons. They have a use.

If you've any others, that are useless, but people might think they aren't, add them here please!

Belladonna flowers: With these you get some extra dialogue with the paramour on the island. They are not consumed and stays in your inventory.

Hair of Kirinhale: It IS not a Nymph, but a seducing daemon. If you talk to her she will give you the hair to bind someone else to the prison. You can then give the hair to the thief on floor below and curse him in her place. It has no other use.

Recipe book: Flavour item. Promise you'll read it. It's a good laugh (was for me). It also explains how to cure your lycanthropy state (though you really don't have an option).

Butter knife: A sell item. Perhaps it can be used for something in the museum, but I don't think so.

Logbook: That is the item you were sent to fetch! Oddly you don't have to have it with you when you return. I consider that a bug.

Idol: If you give the Idol AND the rusted armor from the firewine ruins to Ulcasters ghost you'll get something. Something pretty useless.

The pantaloons is the easiest one to spot since you get all the clues if you talk to the smith with the bronze pantalettes in your inventory.

And I also suggest that you edit the spoiler about the pantaloons out of your post, Lavindathar

Done, but I wouldn't have said it was a spoiler!!

And, regarding the recipe book, I thought the lycanthropy was cured as soon as you had finished the quest, and beat both Loup Garou's.

Re: The recipe book. Yes, that is what I meant. Look under the Belladonna rolls recipe (IIRC - I am typing from memory here) and you will see that Dradeel concludes that the only way to cure lycanthropy is to kill the pack leader. Since the only way to conclude the adventure is to do that there really isn't any choice making it semi-redundant.

Re: Spoilers. The very nature of this post is spoily. A spoiler is information you don't get through straightforward playing. I actually recommend that you add [SPOILY] to the topic title. I realise that you are not directly to blame as you honestly thought the items were completely useless.

Larry, Darryl and Darryl's autograph can actually be sold back at the inn to the north. 100 gp i think.

krunchyfrogg 06-14-2005 05:32 PM

Those Belladonna Flowers will poison you if you eat them.

Kyrvias 06-14-2005 11:22 PM

Yeah... they are poisonous. keep out of reach of small children!!!

What I really hoped was that Baldurans Butter knife could be used as a weapon.

And dradeel's recipes are pretty funny, especially what he has to say about cup cakes

Butter Knife of Balduran: +5 against mustard, jellies, and mustard jellies.
