Don't you think JKR is going too far with harry potter? I mean, I loved the first books... up to the 3rd... the fourth is also very nice... but the fift! I hate it, and I don't think I will buy the next two!!! also the movies: the last one was TERRIBLE...

I mean... that's what I think...

I liked the last movie more than the first two (although I liked those too, the second was the weakest by far IMHO). The atmosphere was a bit darker and deeper, I think they're trying to grow up the themes as the kids grow up.

The last book was pretty good, I mean... they ARE kids books so I don't expect spectacular literary genius. There were some parts that were pretty darn repetitive, and I din't like how the only thing Harry does is whine about his situation the whole book. On the other hand, he IS a teen, and that IS pretty much all teens do all the time (well... maybe not 'ALL' but definitely 'Most'). :D

I liked all of the books so far. I do think however that by the 7th one it will definitely be time to call it quits. I just hope the ending is a good one. Voldemort is starting to remind me of Jason in the Friday the 13th movies.

I still like the books and I know already I have to read those last two as well I haven't seen the movies and I don't think I will anyway cause they kill your imagination.

I think they are going a little overboard, there is no need to just keep pumping stuff out, right? I think it kind of takes away from the previous books as well

Didn't really like the first one that good. So, I stopped reading it. That worked out pretty good.

Do you mean the movies or the future books? Because considering that it was always meant to be a 7 book series (since Harry is at school for 7 years), I think it would take away from the first few books to NOT finish the book series - there hasn't been anything like a satisfactory conclusion and it would make no sense to stop now. I would disagree that she is 'pumping stuff out' as well. As I understand it, Rowling always had a vision of the series - 7 books, one for each year. Her plots and such had been planned for years before she started writing. Pumping stuff out to me implies that she has reacted to reader demand and is writing extra books because they want more to read, which isn't the case at all.

I once saw a documentary where she showed boxes of notes that she has for the books (which are usually kept in a safe). Notes, drawings, written pages, etc. And this was 3 years ago. She's had this in her head for such a long time, so I don't think she's "pumping" them out. She basically knows what's going to happen, she just has to sort it in books. Lots of stuff will be left out though. She sometimes posts some of those things on her page.

I liked the fifth book. I didn't like the stuff that happened in it (since my favourite character is gone now...), and it was horrible to read at times (because of the content), but I still liked it.

You really can't judge the books by the films though. I thought the first two films were too childish, and the third one was a bit better. But the books are much much better than the films.

I think I read somewhere that she has already written the final chapter for the 7th book.

The final word is 'scar'

I read the first four as soon as they came out, but then when it came to the fifth I gave up because it was such a long time since I had read the others that I didn't have a clue what was happening.

However I agree with Aelia, they can't just stop the books. JK Rowling wrote it with 7 books in mind, since it is his whole schooling career, and the books have plenty of fans, she may aswell follow it through, there is no reason to stop.
