Anyone else feel they utterly destroyed dragonlance with this? I personally hate it. They killed off my favourite DL characters, and replaced them with whining (looking at Silvanoshi)irritating (Mina!)posers(Marshall Medam). Granted some of them were cool, like Gerad and that minotaur (can't remember his name, Mina's buddy).

I wasn't too happy with that series but it still was a good read.

My problem was that it took a while to get going and the ending wasn't that good.

I take it you've read them all though and know the ending? Weis & Hickman do come up with an interesting ending at the end of that trilogy i felt. Not as strong as it may have been but i thought it was a decent read.

I havnt finished the series, but I am going to very soon, so far it hasnt been too bad, but nothing special yet.

The series is a bit of a slow-boil...took me ages to finish reading the 1st book and longer still to pick up the 2nd book in the series. I'm sure some people would probably be disappointed but if you stick with it you might be suprised..or not. I have a soft spot for Dragonlance books and i'd rather read a not-so-good DL book than some other trashy stuff.

Also I don't think killing of many of the original characters hurts the series too much, it just makes the stories where they were still alive that much more precious haha. Unlike other characters (CoughDrizztCough) who , while are pretty cool will never die and are kinda boring after a while.
Hahaha...

The war of souls trilogy?

I liked it very much that Tas came back. But now the story seems completely finished to me so I'm rteluctant to pick up any other novels especially those of other authors than Weis&Hickman
