Not sure about England, but there's four out in Canada (one still in hardcover). I've read the first and second. They're solid and readable. I've heard bad things about the third, though, so we'll see how the series progresses.

As for Salvatore himself, there's a wide range of opinion. Personally, I like his writing, especially in the context of his genre (fantasy mostly written under a label like Forgotten Realms). They are easy-reading, but not overly complex or deep. Start off with his Dark Elf trilogy (IMHO, Homeland and Exile are possibly the best books he's written), move to the Icewind Dale trilogy, then see if you want to continue reading his stuff.

If you listen to Black Baron, you won't read any of Salvatore's books at all. They're enjoyable, but not high literature by any standards (except sales).

Good to see more fans of this series, it far outdoes Salvatore and his repetitive Drizzt senario.
Yea The War of the Spider Queen books are easily available in the UK now. i have the first four, not sure if the 5th has come out yet?
Your best bet would be to look on Amazon first cos most of the libraries around here only have the first novel (if that).
I enjoyed the second and third books the most, with fourth being abit of a let down. I just cant wait to get hold of the end two books? or is it just 1 left?

There are six, I think.
I don't like buying things oinline, ever since mydad had to call the police about a guy who tried to steal his money.

PS. FOund a speling mistake ( I think) in the first book. When they are talking about Pellinastra (sp?) they use the wrong version of too. They put two.
