This is a superb movie! Has anyone seen it?

Not only have I've never seen it, I've never heard of it. Could you give a link or something.

I'm sorry, but I'd.. rather not post any links, as they might give away too much of the story and thus decrease the overall enjoyment. In fact, as much as I would give away of the movie's plot is that it is a Drama. Nothing more should be said. ;)

I can say that the movie came out in 2003, the Director is Lars von Trier and the main characters are Nicole Kidman and Paul Bettany. Despite what you might think because of star Nicole Kidman's involvement in this movie, it definitely isn't a Hollywood flick, and Kidman's acting is great.


In my opinion, this is a 2 and a half hour movie that you have to see all at once - Watching one part of it at one day and the other part at another might make the movie less enjoyable. Also be wary of any spoilers.


Shortly put: AVOID ANY REVIEWS AND WATCH THIS MOVIE. DON'T STOP WATCHING BEFORE IT's OVER. Maybe I'm overreacting, but it sure was a great movie. :D


EDIT: I just read that there's an Australian cut for this movie - The real movie is 177 minutes long and the cut is 135 minutes. Avoid the shorter version.

i saw it a few months ago and absolutely loved it. also found out it's hard to convince other people to see it if you tell them too much about it, so i would also rather not reveal too much about the movie.
i will say this - it's 'different' and as such most people who see it either love it or hate it (with few in-betweens).

peculiar scenography, brilliant acting by a great cast and a haunting message... one of the best movies of the last year, unfortunately largly overlooked.

interesting.. ill take a look at it. it could be out in blockbusters now.. or in ezzy
