I'm sure some of you must have seen the movie, am I right?
Well, it's kinda late now, so I can't really remember what I wanted to argue.. BUT I still have a few things I want to put out. If I were going to make a movie based on the comic book "hero" Spawn, I'd either make one centered around his medieval counterpart, or on the side story where Spawn's costume takes over and begins killing people (I'll have to whip out the comics and read up on that). To me, those two things seem way more interesting than the one they decided on. |
The movie was one of the worst movies EVAR!
ya saw it, the storyline was somewhat confusing. didn't read any of the comics so I can't tell how good it was.
Well, at least the busty chick is nice to look at. :D
I liked the movie... (IIRC :D )
It was mediocre at best. Some parts of it were close to the comic, but they pretty much crammed the basic storyline of the entire comic series into a single movie. That always means lots of lost stuff.
True, and that's probably what makes it such a lousy movie.
But I guess now, that they introduced him to the general public, they can move on to the more interesting stories. I mean, the series has been going strong for 12 years now, there's money to be made in it! |
The only thing that I could say was a merit to the movie was the makeup and John Leguizamo, a great character actor in his own rite.

the animated HBO series were much better, check them out if you get a chance.
I've got the HBO animated series on DVD, I highly recommend it. Each season has a unique flavor, from colorful comic'y (first season) to Dark and brooding (third season). I only wish they'd kept making em, to my knowledge they only did the three seasons I have.
The movie was not great, the series is MUCH better. |
