I just wanted to see which authour people preferred in the Forgotten Realms (FR) series. I suppose my vote goes to R.A Salvatore, however Cunningham's work is also very good (although Salvatore writes far more). Anyway, just post your favourite. (although I expect Salvatore will get the most)

Salvatore, no question about it. But for me too Cinningham would get a bunch of points. If only I can get some time to finally read the Daughter start to finish without damn interruptions

Neither of those two, I'd say. I already posted my comments about Salvatore's work on the thread about him, and Cunningham... Well, she's pretty good, but my vote goes to Troy Denning. Comming in a close second are the various authors of the War of the Spider Queen books, which are also rather good. Denning wrote the Cormyr trilogy (with Ed Greenwood, although Denning's writing style is definitely the dominant one, from, what I remember).
