Anyone seen the movie? I think Jim Carrey did a very good job starring Andy Kaufman. Excellent movie. See it if you can.
The irony is that Jim Carrey always does that faces and jokes of his but in the drama he acted very well. Just after the Truman`s show on my list. What do you think? |
The thing is, two of Jim's best movies, at least my favorite ones, aren't jim Carrey movies(Man on the Moon & Truman Show). The two are on my favorites list(it's a very long list).

How do you mean "his" movies? "His" as in his usual acting style or something else?
|
Yes. Dumb and Dumber, Cable Guy, Me Myself and Irene and all "his" other movies.

I agree - its Jim Carrey's best film by quite some distance and he does a superb acting job in it. But to be honest the script lacked something. As someone who knew little about Kaufman I learnt a little more but never really felt I understood him, or what Foreman was trying to say about him. I get the feeling that if I'd have been a Kaufman fan then the film wouldn't have told me much I didn't already know. As a result its quite entertaining but not really a particularly good biopic IMO.
A really good biopic by Milos Foreman is The People versus Larry Flint. Now that is a classic in every way. |
