Great articles... now I don't even need to bother seeing the assenine film. Luckily I saw the windbag on TV before I bothered to go to the movie, and that alone convinced me that the movie wasn't fit for intelligent human consumption. I was going to watch it just for a good laugh, but the above article has provided all the amusement I would've gotten, in a whole lot less time wasted.

Great articles, I just hope some of those on this forum who aplauded the movie will take the time to read this.

Well I did read the articles, but I still think Bowling was a very mind opening movie about the violence in America. If you like to read try "Stupid white Men" a book by Michael Moore.A very good read!

Just for the record I've not met any one IRL whos seen this film and dislikes it. Even my Dad liked it, and he's the most right wing person I know (he votes UKIP... Even The Crimson Butterknife has nothing on dear ole pater...). My point is that I find a lot of people who dislike it so much who I know online are American and think the film is attacking America. I'm not so sure it is personally. Moore is pointing out some stuff thats bad, but thats no more anti-american than is the conservative speaking out against higher crime figures. They're both problems that need to be solved, yet when a self-confessed socialist voices concerns these are somehow taken as being against the very idea of the American agenda. I just don't buy it personally.

Also I really don't think, as has been accused elsewhere, Moore reckons he speaks for a lot of people. He constantly makes jokes in his stand-up and sometimes on film about how unpopular he is. Thats one of the reasons I like the guy - I may nto agree with him on everything but he sticks to his guns when he thinks he's right, not matter what other people say about him as a result.

<font color='white'> Not that I need an artical to tell me what a yahoo socalist Moore is, he does an outstanding job himself, but enjoyed the read. Here is another good read:

And for balance purposes, here's Michael Moore's personal response to the criticism in the articles mentioned above.

Excellent! Thank you very much.

I would love to see the film's critics cut-and-paste this statement and provide a thoughtful rebuttal.

Probably won't happen though, because it is so much easier to create demons out of the people who hold opinions that are disagreed with rather than have a thoughtful discourse.

interesting how he dismisses the issues by attacking those who made them or holds onto his lies in spite of massive evidence to the contrary that can be found in many places.

for instance when he talks about the lockheed martin factory he admits he lied about them making "weapons of mass distruction" but tries to cover it up by saying that since they make satelite launching platforms used in warfare it's not really a lie

Where I come from a lie is Any communication with the intent to decieve and his "defense" of his mockumentary is just as filled with falsehoods as his movie.
