Just have to brag for a sec. I'm going to see a taping of Emeril LIVE in Manhattan tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never been to the "big city" before so it should be quite the experience. YAY!!!

Well, unfortunately it seemed that Emeril was having a REALLY bad day! He was just not all that happy happy. He actually went so far as to tell an audience member to kick a camera man in the face because that's just how I'm feeling today!" I am just completely jaded now. All of the stuff we see on TV is TOTALLY not what actually happens! At one point after a commercial, he asked the folks at the counter how the food was and no one said anything. Emeril goes "HELLOOOOO!!!!!!! AM I THE ONLY ONE IN THIS STUDIO????!!!!" And then later on he's poking holes in a cake and he says "We really need about 400 pricks in here to soak up the rum, looks like there's about 250 in here right now" (That's the exact seating capacity of his studio). But thanks to the wonders of editing I'm sure he'll come out looking like a hero. Check out the episode, it airs on October 13th. If I actually made it on TV, I'll be the one with long brown hair and a yellow tank.

OMG I am in shock. Man that sounds like it would be a waste of time going to see him. You should have started a food fight.

It is a cooking show. He is a very famous cook from the south. :D

I'm condsidering writing a letter to the Food Network about my experience....but I'm scared they might give me more tickets! [img]smile.gif[/img] The only way I'd even consider going back is if I was allowed to sit at the counter and they paid for an overnight stay in the city! And maybe not even then!
