The worst I say is R.L. Stines books the books usually have many many things things in common even though they are with diffrent people and story. Some of the cliche is someone falling down the stairs usually the main characters best friend. The the best friend accuses the main character or some other close friend related to the main character. Some of the books are just down right funny!

mmm well have to say some of them would b from school although the authors r well known etc etc they can b sooo boring like a room with a view and brightons rock personally when ur 16 and being forced to read and analyse a book u have no interest in makes it even worse. Which brings me to another point...has any 1 read heart of darkness by joseph conrad??

Terry Goodkind's Wizard's First Rule.

I've preached this before: Ursula K. Le Guin's The Left Hand of Darkness. Go read it, and tell me if you understand any of it.

Yes sometimes Ursula goes into TOO much detail the only book I really likkd was........well I forgot but it was wizard of Earthsea about this wizard catching and fleeing from this shadow thing.

Grojlach: Terry Goodkind’s Wizard’s First Rule.

I couldn’t agree with you more.

The book in question is:
“A Wizard of Earthsea.”
It was the first book in a trilogy the other’s being “The Tombs of Atuan and “The farthest Shore”

In recent years LeGuin has added three new books set in Earthsea:
“Tehanu”
“Tales from Earthsea” (a collection of short stories set in this world)
“The Other Wind”

The worst book?
Hmm...i think it is LOTR :D

Don`t kill me please...

I was joking...

The worst is Marry Higgins Clarcks-anything

HolyWarrior 07-24-2003 12:33 PM

anything by L. Ron Hubbard

Albromor 07-24-2003 07:00 PM

Anything by R.A. Salvatore. Some people make him out to be some kind of major diety when it comes to fantasy writing, but I find him to be EXTREMELY cliche' in almost everything he does. And can you say uber characters?
