You can find more information at Hasbro, the movie's been greenlighted and in production for 2005 (coincidentally the year the original movie was based :D )

Here's the cool part though, its not computer generated or animated, its live action people! (obviously the transformers themselves are ComputerGenerated, they're going to use motion capture technology to capture their movement).

The real answer is no :D , Hasbro disclosed that they're releasing 2 new series' in 2004, a mature TV series (TF:Energon) and a younger toy line. The film itself is dedicated to the fans of the original G1 series, Hasbro stated it's going to have a PG-13 rating which indicates that its not going to be for kids, who are obviously the main consumers of Transformer products. So no, unlike the original movie this is not going o be responsible for ushering in a new line of toys :D

Don't get me wrong or anything I like transformers just as not as much as I used to. Been loving it since I was five. This movie could prove very very intresting.

Hmmm.. Live action sounds stupid. :( I hope it looks good though....

I would LOVE it if they did another like the 1st film.. and none of this Gen2 crap.. I like Transformers G1, and thats IT! [img]smile.gif[/img]

My favorite type of Transformers series is the Beast Wars showed hear in the U.S. in 99. The one at Cartoonetwork is absoloutley horrible! What's yours?

Mine is the original, especially the Japanese continuity which has 4 extra seasons in it (compared to the U.S continuity) and MUCH more conflict, engrossing storylines and death :D .

Armada is a joke yeah, designed with pokemon lovers in mind.

Anywho I'm bumping this because the two directors trying to get the chance to direct this movie are the person who directed all the Terminator films and the other is the person who directed the X-men. They've outbidded all the other developers for chance to direct the movie, personally I would prefer the terminator director for obvious reasons :D

transformers isent that like a show for 7 yr olds make a gundam movie.
