Here's my question; I'm a third of the way through The Return of the King, but haven't been reading it for a good 4 months as I have been reading another novel (for studying purposes) and am kind of lost  So could someone tell me what has happened thus far?
I'm up to page 180. Chapter, The Last Debate Thanks [ 05-19-2003, 06:09 AM: Message edited by: GokuZool ] |

Let's see, it's been awhile, but...Aragorn has revealed himself as the King, at least in the house of healing. "the hands of the King are the hands of a healer", the battle for Gondor has been fought, and won, with no small thanks due to Pippin, I think, who slayed the Nazgul, might have been Merry, can't quite remember. The King of the Rohirrim is dead, and so too is the father of Boromir, by his own hand, I believe. Faramir and Eowyn are both in the house of healing, and so too is Pippin, because no mortal can strike down a Nazgul without consequences. Sucky, but that should pretty much catch you back up.

You know there's something wrong when you can recite the entire house of Elrond Family Tree, know that Celebrian and Elrond are related, know about Iluvatar, the Valar and the trees of life, know about Melkor (Morgoth) and Glaurung, and still can't remember LotR!
