The first time I played I found this guy, NARLEN no problem, but it seems I can't find him anywhere now or that Inn 'splurging sturgen'?
Also I can't find the Blushing Mermaid???
to find MAREK for the cure (even tho I don't need it cos I killed him and looted his body when he first spoke to me when he attempted to walk 'off' the screen) but of course he still manages to poison me doesn't he [img]redface.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Both Splurging Sturgeon and the Blushing Mermaid are in the same map I believe. One of them at least can only be reached by heading to a screen such as the Duchal Palace map, then heading East into the Northeast-Corner map. I am positive that the Sturgeon is there, but the Blushing Mermaid may not be. An easy way to reach the Blushing Mermaid is through one of the exits of the Undercellar. Good luck!

The Blushing Mermaid is in the NE area of Baldur's Gate.

You still need to kill Marek. It's likely that the Marek you killed has a different code source than the Marek that you need to kill to be cured. The potion on his body is not what cures you...it's killing him that cures you.

The problem is when I go to the blushing mermaid MAREK is nowhere to be found? In what section is he usually standing?

UNLESS there is another level to the BLUSHING MERMAID? like downstairs or upstairs?

He is standing in the upstairs, at the far left of the room. If he is not there, it is because you have not had another dialogue with his partner, Lothander, yet. You can find Lothander in the festival in the middle of the city. If Marek IS there, then yes, kill him.
