I decided to go to HighHedge and go to Thalantyr house for some potions upon arrival he told me to go away so I killed him and pretty easy at that. Now what was the thief I spoke to early in the game saying that this was "the biggest heist of all time" when I killed him I just got a robe and a small bit of gold (his staff was useless) plus a few potions. Does this character play any significant role later in the game or is there somewhere you can go for great loot in that house of his?

I don't want to be told outright exactly what to do/where to go but a few hints would be great thx.

No he doesn't. Although to be honest, it is better not to kill him as the items he sells far outway the items you get for killing him. But ahwell, you've done it now, and it's no biggie.

I would reload a game to NOT kill him. He sells really good equipment, and next time you should try taking a more flattery approach to him.

Well, it depends on how far on you are. If you passed him a few hours (real time) ago then it isn't worth it. You can easily get by without his equipment, although he is one of the best merchants in the game.

"I walked into some guy's house and he told me to leave, so I killed him. Where's my reward?"

The first time you talk to him he tells you to leave. If you talk to him again he'll sell you stuff (after talking for a bit).

He is also involved in a quest at some point. I don't think the rewards are all that great, but it's funny.
