I just saw Jeepers Creepers on DVD. With a name like that, I was expecting it to be a pile of you know what. As it turns out, I found it disturbingly good. I may be putting my respectability as a movie reviewer for IWF on the line by giving this movie a good review, as most critics panned it to death.

Anyone else noticed how many "horror" movies in the last five years have reverted to sick humour and gore effects, because they simply do not have the ability to truly creep us out anymore. Well that's why I like Jeepers Creepers. The humour is kept to a minimum (if there's any at all), and the movie takes on a very serious tone. The first 30 minutes are truly exceptional, and even though it does fall back into the "chased by a demon" formula, it does it very well, and the ending is not what I expected. Just when it looks like it's going to revert to cliche land, it surprised me.

Anyway, I won't give too much away. I will just say, if you like horror movies, check this one out. It's not oscar material, but it's a successfully creepy flick.

I give it 7 out of ten. Tell me what you think, even if you think I'm a dropkick.

Avi.

yeah, i once saw the long version of its trailer on the TV. it was very interesting but when it said the name, Jeepers Creepers, i was like "What the f-!?" My sister and his friend saw it. they said its really scary. Im really looking forward to seeing this movie.

and btw, have you, the almighty movie reviewer, seen A Clockwork Orange? It`s an excellent and extremely cruel Stanley Kubrik movie.

Yes, I have seen A Clockwork Orange many times. The first time I saw it was at the movies (they still play it in Sydney sometimes). I own the Stanley Kubrick collection on DVD. I think it's an amazing film, all the more amazing when you look at what was around when he made it.

It's a definite classic, but not for everyone!

I personally dont like horror much, they tend to crack me up, I'm sorry this sounds really warped, but they do, u see 2 American girls screaming in the film while something 'creeps' up on them... with all that 'scary/spooky' music, I just tend to laugh... then of course there are those 'daemonic' films, those are jsut disturbing... dont like them at all. anyway, just my views. (if anybody cares)

Yay, I saw that Yesterday . It was a great movie, it was very scary at the beginning and a bit more "kill the alienish" later. The bad guy was very cool. Overall, the movie was interesting. I was also suprised at the ending . I hope a sequel will be made

A sequel is underway as we speak (type?)
