Can somebody tell me the location of this so called 'Tactics' mod? I hear it allows the use of monks and barbarians. Does it also allow Class Kits to be selected?

Tactics is for BG2/ToB only, not BG1. There is a mod that allows you to play Monks and Swashbucklers and the like in BG1, but that mod is BGTutu: It plays BG1 by BG2 rules. I don't have the link, but check the sticky threads in the BG2 forum.
