Just had a videofest & saw Bridget Jones' Diary followed by Moulin Rouge; two great movies, but what I hadn't realised before is that Bridget's dad and Moulin's owner are played by the same guy - Jim Broadbent...
what a dude, astounding chalk & cheese performances in two huge consecutive movies - and yet he still gets left out of the international celebgossip...
anyone know what else he's done?

Nope, I'm afraid not...sorry! I did however enjoy Bridget Jones's Diary immensely! I had read both the books, and it was great to see the movie...very well done by the three leading roles!
I have yet to see Moulin Rouge but I'm told it's quite good, so I'm going to rent it as soon as it's available

It's spectacular! Spectacular, I tell you! Seriously, one of the best movies I've seen, pure farce, pure entertainment, brave and original.
(but don't take my word for it...)

I just have to say that my hubby just bought me Bridget on DVD for Christmas and I have already watched it 3 times, along with seeing it in the theater I read the books and the movie is so cute and funny - I really liked it.

I was watching the extra clips on the DVD and did you know that Helen wrote the book she had those 2 actors (Daniel and Mark) in her head for those parts? How oddly kewl that they were able to be casted in the movie.
