These ones!

Dragons of A Fallen Sun (War of Souls trilogy)
Dragons of A Lost Star (War of Souls trilogy)
Elminster In Hell (only because it's linked with the Archwizards Trilogy)
The City of Ravens (After your recommendation!)
Tymora's Luck (Lost Gods Trilogy)
Finder's Bane (Lost Gods Trilogy)

Memnoch

(silly question alert!)

Who are the authors of the War of Souls and Lost Gods trilogies?

jabidas 11-28-2001 04:55 PM

Anything by Robin Hobb is stunning, she is quite literally the best thing to happen to the fantasy genre in 20 years.

the books come in trilogys

First is The Farseer trilogy consisting of

Assasins apprentice
Royal Assasin
Assasins quest

I really cannot reccomend them highly enough
Next Trilogy is the SHip of magic trilogy and while I cant remember all the names it was excellent as ell, although I reccomend you read the farseer trilogy first

Next Fantasy author is George R.R Martin and his series is a song of Fire And Ice. Brilliant stuff but I must say its very adult and not for the squemish, I mean that BTW, he is one of the singlemost grim writers I have ever come across.

I dont know whether to mention normal fiction or not, reply if you want it.

Authors of War of Souls are Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, who wrote the Chronicles and Legends trilogy so you know they will be good. They are two of the very best. Authors of Lost Gods are Kate Novak & Jeff Grubb, who wrote the Finder's Stone trilogy (Alias and Dragonbait).

I only read the first chapter of Dragons of A Fallen Star before I decided to reread the Chronicles as I hadn't read them in ages. I'm up to Dragons of Winter Night and am going hardcore - my aim is to finish by the weekend. :D

What I did read of Fallen Star was really good, though, and the books got rave reviews.

Don't know if you can get them easily outside of UK (cept via net) but the Malazan series by Steven Erikson are excellent, and James Barclay's Raven series is fun!

I recoment Sex Hungry Hitchhikers by Suzy Vernon but since your not quite old enough to have that yet I go with the recomendations of Jabidas. You cannot go wrong with Robin Hobb. Get the Assassins trilogy.
