Another one just hit the stand (Sky of Swords) & I'm reading it now. It's decent (B-/C+), not as good as the King of the FireLands though (at least so far).

Havent read it. But I liked very much Reluctant Swordsman (first book). Have read some other his novels as well and think that Duncan has serious problems with ends. All steam and good ideas are used at the beginning of book/serie.
But maybe King's Blades are better?

I rather liked the swordsmen books (need to read all 3 though). His best series(pure enjoyment wise) were the books with the char. Rap (again, all 3 need to be read).

King's Blades books are more realistic in terms of politics, magic, ect. (but there not as fun by a long shot - ie. more reality, less fantasy).

I'm about halfway through Sky of Swords now. The book starts to get better and picks up pace by about page 180 (B- overall I would say, more if you like gritter realistic books).
