Just to be safe...
I'm currently in chapter 6, and am about to start the candlekeep catacombs. My party is of high level already (we haven't had much trouble in any fight so far, except early on cos I worked hard to level them up fast; reaping the rewards now) and as I've finished chapter 6, wondered when to be thinking about doing the TotSC areas. Should I do them after I've beaten Sarevok? IS there a way to load your game after you've beaten him so that you can go to the areas, or should I do them before I kill him? And how do I access all the areas, apart from Durlags Tower, wich I assume you can just walk to.
My aprty currently consists of:
Ajantis lvl 6
Minsc lvl 6
Branwen lvl 6/7 (cant remember exaclty)
Jaheria lvl 5/6 (dc)
Me lvl 7 Thief
Dynaheir Level 5 or 6...
I want to try and get maximum experience because my main character is going to be doing the entire saga, and any exp advantages will be helpful for him...

You walk to them... or figure out another obvious way to them.

The ToSC areas need to be finished before the final battle in vanilla BG, however... Once the Final Showdown With The Armored Figure is complete, the game ends, regardless of what you have or have not finished of Durlag's Tower and whatnot.

The town of Ulgoth's Beard can be reached by going to Wyrm's Crossing (the bridge that leads to BG City) and heading north. All other ToSC areas are either accessed or added to your map in Ulgoth's Beard.
