Anyone else out there enjoy this author?
'Shadow over Innsmouth' is a great story. I live on the ocean and this story still makes me think a little too much when I look at the water.
Cthulhu and the Great Old Ones, Yog Sothoth and Nyarlyathotep, real evil stuff. 'From Beyond' is a great story too. I really think that alot of authors borrow ideas and concepts freely from Lovecraft in the way alot of people do from Tolkien.

There are at least three of us. H.P. Lovecraft was always one of my favourite authors. His stories are unique.

It's been a while since I've read any of his stories, but I'm about to have the pleasure again. I just got the final volume of collected works from Arkham House. Now all I need is some time.

Have either of you read the Ghormenghast novels, by Mervyn Peake? They are classified as fantasy, but they are about as much like standard fantasy as Lovecraft's stories are like standard horror.

Those collected works sound like good a copy though. All my Lovecraft books are beat up Dell Ray editions printed in the early nineties.

Djinn Raffo, the original Gormenghast books are out of print, and hard to find. There is a new combined edition from The Overlook Press that should be available. A bit expensive for a paperback, but more than worth it.

Well I am another H.P.Lovecraft fan. I have the collected works in the Del Rey paperback collection. There are so many stories it is hard for me to even pick one. I do have a fondness though for "At the Mountains of Madness."
