Looks like 11:30AM CST, - 6 GMT. You can pre-roll your char if you wish, to be ready, or create it on entry, and we'll gather in the tavern then.

It looks like I missed everybody that was here, but I do have my character created. I leveled up in the tavern and bought some common items with the start-up money I had, though I do not even have a bow. I also messed up in preparing the numbers, and did not get enough points allocated where they needed to be...but its all good.

Any clue when the next one will occur?

robertthebard 05-05-2007 11:13 PM

Not yet, but it seemed that it was pretty successful, so we may try to schedule another group effort for next weekend. We don't necessarily need to have a DM every time we get together, although if there's time for it, why not?

Cloudbringer 05-05-2007 11:14 PM

There was talk of doing it on the first Saturday of the month if we did it regularly. Hard to say, though with summer coming up because people have fuller schedules on weekends then, it seems!

I had to leave after a few hours today. But I have a few chars rolled up to play, at any rate!

I would like for somebody to keep a running record of the adventures and highlights of the trek, and have a way to accept newcomers in with a RP style instead of just saying ...okay, I'm here...let's do it.

I hope I can make it the next time you are together.

robertthebard 05-06-2007 08:18 PM

Actually, I see nothing wrong with the "Ok, I'm here, let's do it" approach. It is a public tavern, after all, in the largest city in the realm. I would say that that kind of thing is most common, safety in numbers, and all that...

I know *I* shall likely reroll a character - or at least have two to choose from depending on my mood of the day ;) . Lilisa, I think, will turn out ok once I get used to her, but subtlety can get tiresome. Sometimes a girl just needs to play a blatant whup-arse 'toon, ya know?

I always keep the logs whenever I play NWN.

The first session was about two and a half hours which created a 744K text file that translates to a 250 page WORD file. I am (slowly) translating the log into a readable story (maybe 10 pages) but it will take a few days... Also I am not a Master Storyteller so you can cancel that call to the Pulitzer committee . That's why I roleplay Bards; I only wish I was an eloquent and charming speaker. ;)

The log picks up trivial details and misses important ones. I have pages of

:
:
Bought arrows
Deducted 300 GP
Bought healing potion
Deducted 400 GP
Bought healing potion
Deducted 400 GP
:
:
… not very exciting…The log then leaves out details like when you move to a new area, what is the name of the area…

I made an error with the screenshots as well. I kept overwriting the previous screenshot. I will post the surviving picture when I reach that point of the story…

Well, if I can make it, I have a few chars to play, but obviously it will be hard for any of us to 'keep up' if we miss much and our chars don't get leveled up or make it to stones for lower levels when others do, as we go on.

Javan, LOL, yes, that first part could be tedious to write up! But that's cool that you do keep the logs. By all means, show us the one surviving shot! And don't feel bad, I do that copy over thing all the time.
