Does anyone have an idea why my game first freezes and then crashes on me, don't believe it is anything to do with the server as it was still there when I re-started, but has happened a few times.
p.s. whoever is running Givan as a character, thanks for the assistance, got the stone dagger about 2 seconds before it all crashed on me. Checked after and still had it.

I'm not sure, but I've had the problem the last two or three times I've logged in. I'll be good for a bit, but after a conflict, I'll crash, and then it runs normally the rest of the way through.

It crashed on me twice this evening already.

I've had that happen in solo and online play of NWN, so I suspect it's an NWN thing but in this case could be the game or your server, hard to know for sure.

Welcome to IW, btw! :D

Givan Hardshot was glad to help. ;)

Unglaublich, have you checked your audio and video drivers for recent updates? Maybe that is causing your freezing/crashing problems. [VoE] Neverwinter Nights uses a lot of your computer's resources. It can put a strain on a minimal system. :( [/Voice of Experience] What video card are you using?

My usual pc has an ATI Radeon X1300 256MB, 2GB RAM, Athlon 3200+ CPU and I get the problem with that one as well (could have understood it more at the moment as I am away from home and using a cheap 128MB generic card with 512MB RAM).
Card is on the latest drivers as I update these regularly.
Guess I'll just have to live with it.

In retrospect though that might make sense, I think it tends to happen when things get particularly hairy. Mostly when I have those mad moments in the lizard king cavern :)
