I bought the Paltinum version of NWN, loaded it into my computer along with the expansions, downloaded CEP 1.00 from the vault, upgraded to 1.01 with a patch from the vault, and installed the hakpack (Dwarven halls, etc.) mentioned on the IW forum menu.
When I go into Undermountain I occasionally get white "patches" (tiles?) where walls, floors, carpets, caves, etc should be... When I bought two different shields from Durnan they appear white on the outside when I equip them. In Durnan's inventory they had symbols (i.e. yellow sun on a blue background) that don't show when my character has it equipped. Do I need to update the CEP? reinstall it? could it be the hakpack? Does anyone else have this problem? Thanking you in advance... javan [ 12-22-2004, 12:07 AM: Message edited by: javan ] |

I think 1.01 or 1.50, but don't quote me on that.

I ahve never had anything like that. Documents online tend to lean toward it being a problem with your video card not showing the textures correctly.
Try updating your videocard driver and try it again. |
The white patches in the terrain are likely due to the videocard, yes. White inventory icons are nothing rare, restarting NWN fixes that if it bugs you. The third problem you may encounter is that, on your model, or someone else's character, or an npc, parts such as heads or clothing don't appear. In the case of clothing that's quickly fixed by the unseen person in question re-equipping the item twice.
Finally, some of the tiles in an area may show as white squares on your map. That's because they don't have any map icon representing them and everyone has that problem. The SoU rural caravan does it, for example. |
