....you TEASE us with server vault. Which will put all of us newbies into a situation where we have a chance. It will force us to be online on the weekends when we may be able to pick up veterans (that have lost their "uber" characters because of the *server vault* change) and they will help us,,, because they --either like to,,, or NEED to,,, because of the vault change. They will no longer be "UBER",,,, but they will have PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE ,,, and will be sought by newbies to help them out.
BTW, if you go server vault, the Duergar chief and Duergar rogue are,,, IMO,, WAY overpowered for a level 2 encounter...... ESPECIALLY for a solo.
Just my 2 GP's.

I have to state for the record that my characters are in no way 'UBER' Each of my characters are made witha design and personality, and in some cases a theme about them. It is true I obsess over their creation, using points and feats strategically as to achieve the peak of character performance, and most of them can hold their own in the toughest parts of EfU. But they do not even compare to the'UBERS' that crawl the halls of Undermountain.

Elfbane, if you ever see me in EfU, give a yell, I will be more than happy to help you out or take you on a tour.

Same with me. I plan my characters and play with them long before I let them tackle undermountain. I plan there stories and the feats I want them to have to they end up a fine tuned Halaster creation butt kicking machine :D

If you ever see T-D-C or Grumish or Torin ( my new dual wielding warrior ) give me a yell and I will help you out.

1st.
ElfBane You don't have to be uber to get threw the first 6 levels. A Level 12 to 15 PC can get threw that far without alot of trouble. The one thing you need and can buy at the store in the Yawning Portal INN that will help alot is the ring of invisability. When you get near most all monsters you need to activate the ring before they see you! then run past them as fast as you can without attacking them or doing anything else. Don't click on anything else while invisiable or you will become visiable at that moument.

2nd
There is nothing we (those of us with previous knowledge of Undermountain) would like better than to help new players get through Undermountain.
At this moument the undermountain is being changed and upgraded daily so most all of us don't know what is in Undermountain and will not know until we go back through.

like crimesonblade said... we love helping out newbie if you would only ask. ;) . there are those who are UBER UBER character loitering around, then those guys are the problem.

edit: if you want to roleplay it as well, then tell us so we wont give away the secret and act like we are newbie's.

and besides, we need those uber characters all the way down to lvl 13. that level is no joke. even uber characters get killed there.

Arghh!! I wasn't criticizing veterans. I am trying to NOT become one, because I get involved in my character. What I'm trying to say is if we must start over, then let's get on with it.

lrdmukasa 06-10-2004 04:18 PM

My characters i prefer to play are level 40 but definately not uber.I just hate to worry about gaining levels and prefer to try to rp with others and help them out.So anytime i can help you out holler at me and we will both die together .Also speaking of ubers I was actually having fun working my way down to level 3 and just enjoying the work that z has been doing. Well anyways some ubers caame on that had almost 1200 hp's..good gawd how do you get that Anyway z You are the Man!.
P.s. How about putting some milk in the tavern for choc.I tried buying him a cold ale but he would have none of it

I was more than a little surprised when I created my level 40 shadow-dancer/assasin and took him on a walkabout, which started from level 1 and worked down from there. When I got to level 2 and began to fight a mummy that would not even take damage from my twin rapiers, I called it quits for the night, then went to the bathroom.
