Will someone please enlighten me as to exactly when the protagonist learns that Sarevok was the one who killed Gorion? I'm currently writing an accounting of the events in BG, but can't remember this detail.

Definitely Spoilers...
> > > I think the first mention of the name "Sarevok" occurs in some of the letters you pick up along the way, but not until after you reach Baldur's Gate (if I recall correctly). Until then, it was just the "Iron Throne" that you were chasing after. Then, you meet up with a suspicious character by the name of "Koveras" (read backwards) when you return to Candlekeep, which might start to raise some suspicions. When you return to Baldur's Gate as an accused murderer you get some clues that Sarevok is going to become one of the Grand Dukes. Most players will probably by now guess that Sarevok was the "Armored Figure" but I don't think you really find out until you confront him, either at the Ducal palace or in the last battle. Hope this helps. |
Thanks for the reply. When you mentioned the letters, I remembered that he also had a diary. Even though it never says "today I killed Gorion", it says that "now I have time to deal with Gorion" or something like that. I'll just assume that most people are perceptive enough to pick it up from there.
