I've figured out a good way to speed up the game while you're playing EfU. Usually, there are three reasons why EfU is slow (and sometimes prone to crash) on your weak-ass computer, having one myself.

1. Lighting: Items with Lighting will only slow you down. Besides, it's not *that* dark, is it?

2. Remains *everywhere*: After a lot of punk-ass , they'll leave their lying around. What does this have to do with slowing down computers? Easy! Each remains model counts as a Placeable. And unless they're COMPLETELY empty, they're staying there! Mass amounts of placeables can REALLY slow down lesser computers. So what do we do about it? Take the remains and stuff 'em into a container.

3. Traps: In my experience, traps are not only annoying, but they can also crash your game if your computer isn't fast enough! If you come across a trap, disarm it or go around it.

These are only three ways to speed up lesser computers while playing EfU.

What slow downs? With an ATI 9600 and 1.5 gig of RDRAM nothing slows down except my Brain tring to keep up with everything "Z" has atacking my butt on LVL 11.
Got a good computer now, next I got to build a better character that can live long enought to fight off all the bad guys. HA! HA! HA!
The graphics are alot better looking now then they were with my old ATI 7500 and 8500 graphics cards. I can watch myself bleed to death now. :D

Hm.. well, there are certain 'cleaner' scripts that auto-remove junk and dropped items/remains after awhile.
