will there be a downloadable version of this cool project ? is a DM required ? singleplayer capability ?

yes down loadable when all 70 levels are complete in the year 2010 :D :D or sooner we hope. But I'm not expecting anything this year. Who really knows when "Z" will put in download form?

The mind boggles at the size of that download. [img]smile.gif[/img] Some of the mods I have seen are well in excess of 20 megs in zip format, and they are much smaller than EfU. Dial-up modems are trembling at the possibilities. lol

I was hoping that Z would consider breaking the EfU mod into smaller bits and offering them in chapters, with the appropriate transition triggers set so the mods could be later combined / merged.

Z, out of curiosity, just how big is file for the current EfU mod????

I would guess it is close to 300 MB by now but, this is a guess!

So far, EfU is only 16Mb. No hackpaks YET, but I will have some hakpak's in the downloaded version.


Actually, since this is such a huge Mod, I've decided to release the first 'Chapter' this summer--in Sept sometime..

The downloaded version and single player version will be a LOT more rich with more quests, and such. Also, EVERY exit to the next level will be locked, and you will need to find out who or where the key is. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Also, I will be adding some NPC's that will join you into EfU. And the 'escape' part is going to be mostly a secret until it's released. But I'll just say this: You'll need to go deeper to escape, and there are alternate realitys. You may be warped to what may LOOK like level 2, but is very different. :D

The Hall of Kings (lvl 5)'s riddles will also be changed for the final release. [img]smile.gif[/img] Nope, you won't be able to zip through it THAT easy! :D

I'll have the next update finished next week sometime (adding levels 10-11, and 12).


I'll run the EfU server most days till then starting at 8PM EST, so you can play earlier as requested.
