is neverwinter2 worth of its money?

If your system is up to specs, yes. If not, it's a disaster waiting to happen. I love the game but there are a number of people who have lower end video cards who are absolutely tearing their hair out trying to get the game to run at all!

I myself is wondering whether the game is worth buying. I already ordered the game from a website but since I halted the payment, my order has been on a "pending" status.

I know my specs should be able to run this game ( it can run Oblivion ), but the bugs in this game gave me a doubt about purchasing this.

Most of the bugs have been worked out with v1.0.3 patch - not all, but most. The 1.0.4 patch *should* take care of the rest.

In fairness, I haven't encountered any of the so called bugs that seem to be bothering other people except one. That ONE game ending bug occured after I patched to v1.0.2 (which in truth was a total unmitigated disaster). I actually uninstalled, reinstalled and waited a week before the v1.0.3 FINAL patch out. I have had NO trouble since then.

Are there bugs in the game? Sure, but after the 1.0.3 patch they are few and far between. Do they make the game unplayable? No, they are annoying and sometimes stupid, but they don't really mess up the game.

In retrospect, how many patches did NWN 1 have? And when was the last one?

[img]smile.gif[/img] I had gotten to the end boss in the original version of NWN2 unpatched and the v1.02 actually corrupted my save games, i'm not over halfway thru on a replay with 1.03 patch and I'm not having any trouble.

Definately worth it. My heart goes out to those whom Micah referred to, I was one of them. In my case though my sytem really was up to specs, NWN2 just didn't recognize my laptops chipset, and thanks to some help from Zebodog here, and Silver Wing at bioware I'm running tops. I patched all the way up before I even tried to play, so I haven't noted any major glitches, just a few minor things that haven't affected gameplay.
