I think best companion is beetle because all the other familiars give just +2 hide or listen maybe +2 reflex but beetle gives +1 hp per level. think about it when your animal is level 10 you'll get level+10 it's great i think. my question is what's your animal companion level progress? for ex, if you're level 10 your animal comp is level 10 as well? I see beetle best whats your opinion guys?

It really depends on what I want. Since for a wizard, none of the talking skills are class skills, I find a critter like a pig or beetle handy, depending on what I take with the wizace.

yes beetle is the best!
others give only +1 +2 save. this one gives hp/level!! if youre level 20 it makes +20 hP!
superb great!! muc better than just +1 save

As I said, I like the +3 to talk skills.

+2 reflex is much better imo
just think it you gain lightning reflexes feat for free :D
