So after re-rolling a cleric instead of a warrior I started to use the quickcast bar alot more. Maybe i'm missing something here but is the top part of it (where it has like one icon that says 'none' when you hover on it) supposed to have spells? What I get is a quick menu of my memorized spells by level but above that (where I have spontaneous casting) is a small, blank mini hotbar. I have tried dragging from spellbook to this bar but nothing sticks. Is it just for show? I refuse to believe they'd make a fake minbar simply to take up room?

I think that little icon represents divine cleric spells. If you're character had some ranger/paladin/wizard etc levels, you should have an icon to toggle between each spell set.

So next time, try the manual. ;)

I am not asking that. But you are assuming again that I didn't read up on it firstly before asking and then assuming I missed the answer. As always, it makes you look bad when you come off as a smartass but are actually wrong.

In case you still don't get it I amn't talking about my spellcasting classes and their spells or where they show up.

Anyway, a re-installation fixed it as per directions from someone on the official forums. Seems the patch that was pulled messed it up. I never knew what it should look like as I hadn't used a caster. Now the bar is filled as it should be.

Not sure what the little icon thing means. I do like the quickcast bar, but it would be even better if you could drag spells down from it to quickbar instead of using the spellbar.

I find the quickbar a little strange, to be honest. Here's three screen shots:

I'm playing a warlock, obviously, so maybe it's different for other classes, but I'm not sure I understand why the invocation is repeated under the different categories as well as under that thing that looks like a Mario Flower [img]tongue.gif[/img]
