If I was a thief then assassin would my sneak attack merry with the assassins death attack, or are they two seperate things?

They stack. In fact, starting as any other class, and going into assassin, it says Death Attack, but when you start as rogue, it still always says sneak attack. It just adds the save against paralysis in.
