Would those files be "zone specific"? I mean, you are not zone 1, so would files from the US actually operate on your system? Is this game zone-specific?

ZFR 07-19-2005 12:33 PM

im not sure.
but those seem like movie and m;usic files.
not critical to the game if so and if nothing works i'll try playing without them. still would be nice to have them.

I have to make sure that there is no US legal problem with this, and then find out if there is a zoning problem.

I wasn't aware that games were zoned?

One way that might work (and I just used successfully on my BG2 discs) is to find someone with a good CD writer and get them to make a personal backup of the dodgy CD.

CD writers usually have a far greater tolerance for slight errors in the disc and thus the backup one may well work correctly.

A few years ago on this website, somebody had mentioned how blood in Baulders Gate was more prominent in European games than in American ones, and since then I have figured on my own that this meant that they would also be zone-specific.

Weeeell...

I got this program BadCopy Pro which helps recover files from damaged cd's and...

it recovered all the damaged files ))

of course I'm not sure if the files will actually work...

the only thing left is to install and see...

now sleepy time... its 4.30am here.

Is it because the CD is scrached and the files are not reading correctly. Pretty much all CD scratches can be fixed with a Game Dr.

well the recovered mus_autorun.wav is a bit choppy but that again fixed with wav repairer.
the rest i'll check ingame. like i said 2 movie files and 2 music files so nothing critical. (definately not the WOTClogo.bik one :D ).
