Does this actually work? One time, I took the Iron Skeleton armor from Chewie's mod, which gives darkvision, but couldn't see any better with it on than with it off.
In a different game, I found a shield that granted darkvision, but again, it seemed to make no difference. This is in the platinum pack, OC, with the 1.66 patch installed. Any info on this is much appreciated.
Nightowl2
P.S. In both games, I was running a half-elf with low light vision. Would that make a difference? |
Darkvision and Low Light vision make only the most marginal of differences. If you're ever in a pitch-dark place and zoom all the way in, you may see more than usual. However, if you're also using the Light spell, carry a torch, or something else that grants light, that'll likely contribute enough for you never to notice.
In other words, it's there but the implementation could have been far better. |
Not so sure on how well immunity to darkness works either...

Immunity to Darkness?
That would have to be put in place by equipment, and it usually wouldn't be that, it'd be something like Ultravision or True Sight. (Ultravision does the same thing, immune to darkness, but you still see the spell graphics, it's just that you can see through the spell graphics to see your enemies. As always, cheap spell combo is Darkness + Ultravision :D ) |
