OK guys in the lever room with statues just south of the start to HOTU.
How the hell do you open the door??? |
I think I know which one your talking about now...

I tried that but every time I 'locked' a second statue the first one moved again.
However .... spoiler......... spoiler......... spoiler......... I solved the problem by finding the secret door and kiling the fire thrower creator fairy (thingy) when I went back to the area all the statues had opened the door! Thanks anyhow Robert the bard |
That's odd. The first couple of times I played through that part, I never found him, but still managed to open the door...
|
LOL I have never found him either. I always just opened the door using the statues.

I had to use Sharwyn to help find the secret door, mind you she also found about 30 other secret doors just in the first level. I normally play solo but I think I will keep her around for a while :D
eye candy anyone |
arrgg...I was trying to find that same hidden door, but to no avail! is there a way to find it being a dwarf with no points in spot? Standing around in the right spot for a VERY long time?

Not sure WHO found the secret doors but the combination worked for me. Spoiler: . . . . . . . . . . . . . The "creator" on that level is located to the upper right behind at least one and possibly two secret doors. |
Isn't Search the skill needed to find secret doors, instead of Spot? I don't know if it's mentioned in the skill description, but since Search deals with traps and other "mechanical anomalies" and Spot deals with creatures which are invisible/hiding in shadow, Search seems much more logical to me. Plus, with practically all my characters I keep Search maxed out whether it is a class skill or not, while I only very rarely put points into Spot, and I usually don't have much trouble finding secret doors.
